GREAT LIFE LESSONS that you can learn from VIDEO GAMES

Gaming is fun but it is something that I really try to limit these days due to the work that I am doing.

It is amazing to see how many lessons one can actually learn from games and how you can use those lessons in life scenarios.

Have a look at the list below:

1. Making money helping others

This always reminds me of games like Skyrim, where you go around and do things for other people. When the quest is completed you usually get rewarded with goods or gold. I put this as my number one because this is often overlooked as we need money for our own lives, however, if you think about it, we need other people to give money to and to receive money from.

2. Asking people if they know of any jobs.

Instead of just going around door-to-door submitting your C.V or applying for jobs online, you should consider asking your friends and family if they know of any jobs available. It is sometimes 'who you know' over what you know plus it costs you nothing to try.

3. A mission, quest or goal to complete

The best to tackle your to-do list is by playing a game that has many quests, side-missions, and goals. This helps in your real-life as it helps you to do one thing and move to the next thing effortlessly. It was one of the best things that I have ever learned. Once that goal is done then you move to the next and so on from there.

4. Multiple sources of income

Ever noticed in a game how natural it is to go around doing many things to earn money?
It is quite strange how we as humans do the same thing over and over so that we get a monthly paycheck because we are scared of not having money for the next month.

That is why like in a game, you should have more than one source of income and do different things. It does not have to be twenty different things, but perhaps two or three things that you enjoy doing.

5. Keep trying until you succeed

I love this. I swear that video games were made to help us deal with persistence and develop that skill. Think about that boss that had killed you 300 times. What did you do? Throw the game in the trash? NO!! You picked up that damned remote control and you kept at it until you defeated that bugger.

That is exactly what you need to do in life. Keep persisting until you break through the barrier and do everything that you want to. Do not throw away the video game. Keep playing until you own that program!!!
